TRAINING FOR THE IDF
Aharai!’s leadership academies (mechinot) are intensive pre-army programs that give young Israelis time to develop the mindset, maturity, and experience needed for impactful military service, from combat and command tracks to elite technological and intelligence units. Over two months to a full year, participants live in shared cohorts, train together, and serve in communities across Israel, cultivating independence, resilience, and a deeper sense of purpose. Along the way, they are challenged to ask harder questions about who they are, what they believe, and what kind of role they are ready to carry.
Defined by their diversity, Aharai!’s mechinot bring together young people from across ethnic, socioeconomic, and religious backgrounds. By the time participants enlist, they arrive with the perspective and inner conviction to lead when others look for direction.
Develop thoughtful leaders guided by strong values, sound judgment, and personal responsibility.
Build leadership through shared responsibility, initiative, and daily practice.
Deepen participants' commitment to meaningful service and Israel's future.
