In Israel, military service is both a duty and a privilege. It is central to our national security and our shared future.
Every year, Aharai! mentors thousands of teens through more than 120 groups across northern, central, and southern Israel. Aharai!’s programs prepare them physically, mentally, and emotionally to serve in the IDF with excellence and purpose. Many go on to become commanders and officers, driven by a deep sense of responsibility and belief in the value of service.
Those who serve meaningfully will become socially conscious leaders ready to impact Israeli society for the better.
Prepare participants physically and mentally for meaningful military service through teamwork-building treks, outdoor challenges, conversations with soldiers and officers, and guidance through initial IDF screening.
Nurture the next generation of IDF commanders and social pioneers through leadership development workshops and dialogues exploring Zionism, democracy, and moral courage.
Cultivate a strong sense of belonging, identity, and commitment to Israel through values-based education, community engagement, and volunteer service.

CORE PRE-MILITARY PROGRAM
Aharai!’s flagship pre-military program brings together young people from every sector of Israeli society, including Jewish, Druze, and Bedouin youth, to train, grow, and discover what they are capable of. Through weekly physical training, outdoor challenges, team missions, and honest conversations about identity, responsibility, and purpose, participants build the confidence to step forward and the conviction to carry something greater than themselves.

MATZPEN
Matzpen is Aharai!'s premier leadership and identity program, bringing together a select cohort of high-potential participants chosen from the final year of its Core Pre-Military Preparation Program. This program is designed for young people seeking not only to serve, but to lead with clarity, character, and conviction. Through immersive dialogue, group challenges, and deep engagement with Israel’s history, values, and national story, participants develop the moral compass and inner confidence to guide others when the stakes are highest.
